Brandy’s Story

I feel so blessed to be a part of the St. Vincent’s family. They took me in when I was 14 years old. I had to leave home because both my parents were addicted to drugs. Everyone at St. Vincent’s opened their hearts to me and made me feel like part of the family right away.

SVS gave me a tremendous gift when they helped me find a foster mother who is one of the most remarkable women I have ever known. She believes in me and helps me grow. And now that I’m older, she has even supported me in reaching out to my parents and brothers to rebuild those important family relationships.

When I left home as a young teenager, I didn’t know where I would end up. But thanks to SVS, I’m in college and on my way to a bright future. Thanks to SVS, I control my own future and I can write my own ticket.
